Weimo | Legal, Tax & On-the-Ground Services for Chinese Companies in Mexico

Registering a company in Mexico is just the first step for doing business there.
After incorporation, tasks such as tax registration, bank account opening, bookkeeping and tax filing, visa and residency for employees, contract review, hiring, and securing operational space must be addressed. While these tasks may seem independent, they are often interconnected.
For businesses, the goal is not just to complete individual procedures but to ensure seamless integration from incorporation to daily operations.
Weimo specializes in providing localized corporate services for Chinese companies in Mexico. Our team consists of Mexican lawyers, accountants, and HR specialists, offering comprehensive support—from legal and tax services to company formation, employee identity management, operational execution, and site selection.
Our mission is not just to assist with registration but to continuously address practical challenges during company establishment and daily operations.
I. Company Formation & Changes
From planning to document delivery, ensuring a solid foundation
Company Formation. We assist foreign individuals or entities in establishing Mexican companies as shareholders. Based on shareholder structure, business type, and operational plans, we help determine the formation strategy and handle name approval, document preparation, notarization, commercial registration, and tax registration.
For foreign companies establishing Mexican subsidiaries, we assist in organizing parent company documents and coordinating notarization, certification, and Spanish translations as required.
Document Delivery. We compile and deliver approved company name documents, formation documents and bylaws, commercial registration files, company tax ID (RFC), and electronic signatures (e.firma), along with related materials, to facilitate subsequent banking, reporting, and operations.
Changes & Exit. We provide services for shareholder, legal representative, and management changes, capital increases, bylaw amendments, and dissolution procedures, including tax and company deregistration when operations cease.
Specific materials, procedures, and timelines are explained before initiation based on your company’s needs; deliverables align with actual commissioned tasks.
II. Visas & Residency
Align employee arrangements with company establishment
Work-Related Visas & Residency. Based on your hiring plans and applicant details, we assist in preparing materials for work visas, residency permits, and work authorizations for dispatched staff, managers, and technical professionals.
Personal & Family Residency. We offer temporary residency applications and renewals, residency card processing, permanent residency applications, and family reunification-related residency services for eligible applicants.
Identity Maintenance. We assist with residency card replacements, information updates, and eligible identity conversions, while providing validity tracking and renewal reminders to minimize overstay risks.
From material preparation to submission and follow-ups, we integrate employee identity matters with company formation and hiring arrangements.
III. Tax & Finance
Not just compliance, but clarity on operational performance
Our local accounting team, experienced with Mexico’s SAT (tax authority) procedures, provides daily tax and financial support.
Tax Registration & Maintenance. We assist with RFC tax ID registration, electronic signatures (e.firma), applicable tax regime registration, and related tax information updates.
Bookkeeping & Financial Statements. We organize bank transactions, income/expense records, and accounting vouchers, conduct daily bookkeeping, monthly/annual reconciliations, and prepare financial statements.
Tax Filing & E-Invoicing. Based on your tax regime, we handle VAT (IVA), income tax (ISR), and other tax filings, including corrections; we also assist with issuing, receiving, and verifying CFDI e-invoices.
E-Commerce & Operational Analysis. For platforms like Mercado Libre, we provide revenue reconciliation, platform withholding verification, and filing support, along with tax compliance checks, tax planning, cost, and cash flow analysis as needed.
IV. Legal & Operational Support
Integrating contracts, employment, and daily operations
Contracts & Legal Matters. We draft and review commercial, lease, and labor contracts, helping clarify transaction terms, party responsibilities, and compliance risks.
Document Notarization, Certification & Translation. We prepare authorization letters and other business documents, coordinate notarization, Hague/Apostille certifications, or consular legalizations, and provide bilingual (Chinese-Spanish) translation services as required.
Banking & Government Procedures. We assist with corporate bank account opening and follow-ups, SAT, IMSS (social security), and municipal regulatory procedures. We also provide registered address, tax address, and authorized representative support, clarifying service scope and authorization limits in advance.
HR & Daily Compliance. We offer recruitment, labor contract management, onboarding/offboarding, payroll processing, social security registration and filings, and maintain company records. We conduct legal, tax, and labor compliance checks as agreed.
For notarization, certification, or other third-party procedures, we prepare materials and coordinate follow-ups, clearly defining responsibilities.
V. Site Selection for Operations
Not just finding a location, but ensuring usability
Commercial & Industrial Site Selection. Based on business type, regional needs, and budget, we help identify retail stores, offices, factories, industrial parks, warehouses, and logistics hubs.
Site Visits & Lease Negotiations. We accompany you during site visits, assessing surrounding conditions (transport, foot/goods traffic) and negotiating rental terms, deposits, and lease duration. We also review lease agreements.
Operational Setup. We coordinate utilities, internet, and property management, clarifying zoning, licensing, fire safety, and security requirements, and follow up on relevant procedures.
We integrate site selection with contract reviews and post-occupancy needs to help you identify issues requiring further confirmation before signing.
